Thursday 24th November 2011, 7:30-10pm
CSV Media Clubhouse, 120 Princes Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 1RS

dorkbot anglia is a regular evening of talks and conversations with "people doing strange things with electricity" in the East Anglian area. We are delighted to announce our seventh meeting as the guests of the CSV Media Clubhouse on Thursday 24th November. Entry is free.

John Bowers of the Curiosity Collective introduces:

  • Mark Langford aka Kiteman, will talk about documenting projects using the Instructables website, and what it means to be a Maker.
  • Peter Bagnall is designing the new Iraqi participation system for IraqBodyCount, to record and memorialise those killed in the 2003 war and the ongoing violence.

Plus, "OpenDorks" (short ad-hoc slots for anyone to talk about their work)

  • Barry Crabtree will kick-off the OpenDorks with his M25clock. A clock based on the M25. Hands show the fastest route from the centre to the appropriate point on the M25. Barry says, "Its usually not a good idea to ask why these things are done!"
