I received this message from Michael Litt the other day, and thought I’d pass it along to you. If anyone is interested in contributing/participating, contact Mike Litt directly.

We are currently working with What is Austin? and Liveable City on the Austin Futures Fair. This is a 3 day event to increase public awareness of and participation in the the City of Austin’s Imagine Austin Comprehensive Plan, which will guide development and growth over the next 30 years.

Our goal is to ensure that the Plan has a meaningful community voice behind it that is invested in its successful implementation.

We want to do this by bringing various artists, community groups, activists, architects, designers, and other creative citizens together to showcase their visions of a future Austin with no limits, 30 to 100 years from now.

The main festivities will take place on Friday, September 17th, from 7pm – 11pm, and will feature art installations, slide show presentations, and graphics. We would love for you to participate in one of two ways described in the downloadable guidelines at AustinFuturesFair.com.

Also, a short introductory video we had fun making can be viewed there as well.

Interested people can fill out this form to submit their interest in participating!

The deadline to submit interest is Friday August 13th!
