Ashwin Mahesh + Pandian-Map Unity/customising.hacking GIS data.
Ashwin Mahesh is the cofounder of India Together and one of its lead
editors.He is interested in the potential of information and communication
to promote public good.From 1993 to 2005, He studied Antartic clouds and
their impact on Global climate and developed remote sensing techniques for
use with satellite data.Since September 2005,He has been working at EGovernments Foundation leading the development of GIS platforms for urban transport planning.
Jasmeen Patheja-Hacking attitude/The BLank Noise Project.
Jasmeen is an alumnus of the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology.Her
Blank Noise project which started out as a student project has eventually metemorphised into a national movement to fight "eve teasing"-Jasmeen makes innovative uses of information and communication-blogs,sms's etc to organise volunteers and raise awarness.
Vaibhav Bhawsar-The lowland project/Mapping communities
Vaibhav Bhawsar graduated in Communication Design from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology.Lowlands was Vaibhav's final year project which I continued to work on after my graduation. This investigation involved mapping his neighborhood communities, professions and individuals with the aim of eliciting
hidden urban territories and behaviors. Lowlands was part of Srishti In-campus exhibit at Ars Electronica 2005
Performance-Zack+Yash-music with a virus and a toy
A customised virus generates music according to its own whims and fancies-accompanied by a toy synth from a local store.There's also the usual,customary video screen with projections.
