John Boylan is a writer, editor, and activist living in Seattle. He is a former editor of Reflex, a magazine that covered the visual arts in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho in the 1980s and 1990s. Currently he runs an ongoing series of roundtable conversations about art, culture, and politics. He is also a member of the team that produces Art of Resistance, an annual political artists' conference. His current writing projects include work about gardens and about circuses.
