The deal is this: I’ve been overwhelmed by projects and a 1.5 teaching load plus administrative duties at my university this semester.  Because of that, I have not had the time to make the necessary contacts down south from my location in Northern PB county.  In fact, I would love to see someone else take over, preferably someone who is based closer to where most of the action is (i.e. closer to Miami). I believe that there are more options available for presenters and meeting venues around Miami than elsewhere in the region. We really need someone who can hook into that much better than I can.

In the meantime, I have no choice but to postpone our first meeting until we can get a little more involvement.  Please join the mailing lists and email me and let me know if you would like to pitch in.  Perhaps two or three of us can pool resources and get a meeting together.  We still need a good venue and presentations.
