cps has changed from being a commercial to a freeware package. if you have always wanted to mess around with max/msp, but don’t have the $ to spare, or pd has too steep a learning curve, or you want to build browser-based interactive media applications, you should definitely check out cps!
cps can be used as a standalone program, a vst plugin, as a complete audio and midi toolkit for use inside director and shockwave, in any C++ program, or java (using classes)! it is based on modern standard technologies such as mpeg-4 structured audio.
